How We Work

The eight-step delivery process behind every Skylark Engineering project.

Our process

Fully Managed, Start to Finish

Every Skylark installation follows the same disciplined process, regardless of scale — this consistency is what lets a donor fund a plant with confidence, or a municipal client trust a multi-site rollout.

Step 1

Site Survey & Water Quality Testing

Every project starts on-site — testing water salinity, turbidity, and flow requirements before any equipment is specified.

Step 2

Design & Custom Engineering

Systems are engineered around what the water testing actually shows, not a one-size-fits-all template — UF, RO, MBR, or solar-paired, sized to the real demand.

Step 3

Procurement & Fabrication

Equipment is sourced from Skylark’s technology partners — Sumitomo Electric, Tokyo Keiki, Hydranautics, Dow Filmtec, and others — and fabricated to specification.

Step 4

Installation & Commissioning

Field teams install and commission the system on-site, testing output against the design specification before handover.

Step 5

Training of Local Operators

Local technicians or community members are trained to run day-to-day operations — filter changes, basic troubleshooting, and system checks.

Step 6

Handover to Community, Municipality, or Client

The completed system is formally handed over, often with a commissioning certificate and — for donor projects — a dedication plaque.

Step 7

Monitoring & Maintenance Support

Skylark’s nationwide technical team remains available for ongoing maintenance, cartridge replacement, and troubleshooting.

Step 8

Impact Reporting

For donor and institutional clients, Skylark provides daily, monthly, and annual reports — liters dispensed, usage patterns, and plant health — so impact can be tracked, not just assumed.
