Donor-funded
Community-operated
The challenge
A Christian community in Jaranwala, Punjab, lacked reliable access to safe, clean drinking water — a familiar story across many underserved neighbourhoods in the region.
The solution
With the support of a generous individual donor, Skylark Engineering designed and installed a Solar-Powered Reverse Osmosis plant for the community. The system runs entirely on solar energy, removing any dependency on grid electricity — a cost-effective and sustainable choice for an area with limited power infrastructure.
The outcome
The plant now provides safe, purified drinking water directly to the community, improving health and hygiene outcomes and reducing the burden of sourcing water from unreliable alternatives. As with all Skylark donor projects, the installation carries a personalized dedication plaque and comes with ongoing impact reporting back to the donor.
